Office Technology and Staff Facilities
Offices need to test their equipment once a year. Any electrical device that plugs into a power point needs to be tested.
In an office this includes:

Also, staff kitchens and restrooms need to have their equipment tested:

Many event venues (including Crown Resorts) require event and entertainment subcontractors to provide their own tested electrical equipment.

Check for frayed cords and loose connections.
Using a portable PAT tester to check for electrical faults in the electrical devices. This includes earth pin safety and current leakage.
All successfully tested electrical devices receive a tag with information about the test and when the next test is due.
The results of the test will be recorded in a database for future reference and accountability.
